There's not much plot to this film. A man (the only character) discovers an abandoned cabin cruiser. He boards the ship, gets locked in the bathroom, and the ship (which is either on autopilot or possessed by ghosts) takes him out to sea. The next hour and a half surprisingly gets filled nicely as he has several close brushes with death trying to find his way back to land.
A few major problems I have with this film (#spoilers ahead): First, you mean to tell me he couldn't break through the bathroom door? Sorry, I wasn't buying it. A grown man should easily have been able to get that door open in less than a minute. We were talking life or death stakes, and he didn't even attempt to pry/jimmy the latch? He didn't try stomping down on the handle to break it off? He didn't try attacking the hinges? You get the picture.
Second, sure the compass was broke, but you mean to tell me this sailor couldn't figure out which way land was by looking at the sun? I'm in no way a seaman, but if I were off the coast, I'd use the ol' "sun rises in the east and sets in the West" saying to at least point the ship in the right direction. He couldn't have been that far off the coast.
Third, a cargo ship collides with an abandoned ghost boat and nobody calls that in?
Fourth, how the heck does he only discover that room with the knife and other supplies at the very end? Going through every room and drawer would have probably been one of the first things I did after getting stranded on that ship. He had days of doing nothing and he had an entire area of that really small ship he never thought to look through? Really? There could have been a satellite phone in their the entire time.
Overall though, it was enjoyable enough. I'd actually recommend.
