Yet another premium series that takes a 25% good idea and wraps it with 75% garbage. This show embraces every vulgar and disgusting behavior they can come up with - in fact it seems to be their mission to see how vile they can be. Story's not enough anymore - you have to push the envelope of civility to succeed I guess.
Apparently, to be considered a "writer" in the era of cable/streaming programming all you have to do is demonstrate that you can use the F-word in at least every-other sentence. Writers with no discipline, little creativity, no class, and no talent.
The actors, editors, and cinematographers all do a fine job, but why they want to waste themselves on this kind of stuff is beyond me.
We've managed to make it through the first three because of the 25% that's intriguing, hoping they will accelerate the time until the emperor dies so that it can (hopefully) become less foul, but from the IMDB credits, it looks like we're stuck with this vile character for at least the season, so we may not last much longer.
