My Daughter's Psycho Friend (2020 TV Movie)
1/10
Could barely give it '1'

Warning: Spoilers
I don't understand how other reviewers here could possibly think this movie was great or worthy of anything over a 2 rating. The one genuinely good thing about it was the clever but hilarious line: "Don't tell anyone unless you want to commit suicide too!"

So many things wrong with the movie - mainly with the dialogue and plot holes:

1) Mom asking questions that she knows the people she's asking don't know the answers to anymore than she does, such as: "Where is she?!" to her husband, and "Is she dead??" to her daughter.

2) Mom being stupid again, saying "You don't know that for sure", when the psycho Lexi yells for Sierra at the front door and Sierra says - "That's Lexi! She's come to kill me!" She was exactly right, so she did know that for sure.

3) Major goof when the parents are looking for Sierra and see the mother's car halfway sunken in the river from a distance but somehow know their daughter isn't in it when they would actually have no way of knowing that - they immediately start calling her name as if they already know she had crawled out of the car before they even got there.

4) Dad stupidly going down the stairs halfway to talk to the psycho Lexi after she brazenly broke into their house, knowing she has a gun, instead of staying upstairs in a locked room with his wife and daughter until the police arrived.

5) Last but not least: Sierra stupidly sneaking out after midnight to meet the psycho Lexi and her best friend to talk about never talking about the boy's death ever again, when she and Lexi had gotten in a physical fight earlier that day at school with Lexi screaming foul names at her. But of course there would be no movie if Sierra hadn't purposely and stupidly put herself in harm's way out in the middle of nowhere in the middle of the night, with the now-known psycho Lexi who Sierra suspected of killing the boy at the party by sneaking GHB into his drink. And she doesn't hesitate to sneak out of the house at midnight and take her mom's car to meet Lexi and her cohort in crime/best friend.

It's disheartening that the actors didn't care that they were making a terrible movie with elementary school dialogue and plot holes galore, as long as they got paid for it.
