Solidly entertaining superhero film with a charismatic turn by Rosario Dawson and great animation
2 June 2020
Imaginative and action packed installment in the DC Animated Movie Universe (that's a mouthful).

Rosario Dawson remains a surprisingly good choice for voicing Wonder Woman and Jeffrey Donovan is a solid fit as her friend and lover Steve Trevor. TFor those expecting Nia Vardalos to have a meaty role in this, you're be disappointed.

There is an entire rogues gallery of villains for Wonder Woman to fight. Almost all her classic foes appear such as Giganta, Cheetah, Doctor Poison, and even Dr. Cyber. But few of them standout despite their unique power set The most interesting one (I won't mention who) appears in the third act battle and shows far more personality than her evil confederates you wish she was the only villain.

The animation is terrific for the most part, and seems especially attentive to the curvature of the female characters. The music has a great epic feel to it during the action beats. There are a few pieces that seem reminiscent of a Ridley Scott film.
