I saw this film, I guess by accident. Just kind of flipping channels. I got caught up in the strong acting portrayals. Nicole Kidman is fantastic, not the usual ice queen. Matthew as always is great. Zac and Macy too, but who blew me away was John Cusack. I literally did not recognize him. I'm not much of a fan, because he always seems to play the same role. That is why IMO he was outstanding here. Mind you - it is not a likable roe; a maniac. But one often sees an actor who has been to clammed up trying to break free from that mold, and maybe take on a mentally challenged role, or disabled, or a crime lord. So often these performances fail. JC did well here.
