ER: May Day (2000)
Season 6, Episode 22
Carter ... the tie that binds
9 June 2020
Noah Wyle's, Dr. Carter has survived Six Seasons of this show and his amazing acting culminates at the end of this season. Carter has become a central link that holds these people together but he's become dependent on painkillers. And after the horrific actions that occurred during the first half of the season, who could blame him, and yet his peers have ignored the signs. As Green even says "it's Carter, your mind just doesn't go there." But when forced to notice (and despite past issues with each other); Green, Weaver, Benton, Anspaugh and even Chen all work together to talk to their friend and co-worker and get him help. This season finale brings out the best in all of the actors in this ensemble, from the shared glances between the nurses to the action scenes surrounding the helicopter. It also proves that this show will last even without Clooney and Margulies. Next season should be interesting.
