"Agatha Raisin" is a quirky, comedic murder mystery series based upon the novels by M.C Beaton starring Ashley Jensen as the PR guru turned amateur sleuth. Now in its 3rd season (at the time of this review) the series is set in the picturesque rural Cotswolds of England. Agatha (Jensen) is aided in her sleuthing by her ex-fiance James (Jamie Glover) and Roy, a former colleague from her aforementioned PR firm. The first series was produced by and aired on SKY 1 here in the UK following a feature length pilot "The Quiche of Death" back in 2014 - after the first series producing duties went to streaming service Acorn TV - but are still aired on SKY 1 as well as through the Acorn TV streaming service available through Amazon prime video as an extra or through through the Acorn TV app. The series is well made and hugely enjoyable, very witty and Ashley Jensen was born to play Agatha with chemistry between the main stars seeming genuine.
