Tickle me to laugh!
19 June 2020
Many Italian stars, some great comedians from the '60s -' 70s - '80s, such as Nino Manfredi, Paolo Villaggio and Enrico Montesano, gathered in this film that is meant to be comedy. But it has no fun, doesn't have what it needs, that is quality "salt and pepper". The two directors, Castellano (Franco Castellano) and Pipolo (Giuseppe Moccia) they signed together many comedies between '60s - ' 90s, some more successful, some less. Personally I have seen some with Adriano Celentano, among the best: "The Taming of the Scoundrel" (1980)Il bisbetico domato(original title), "Madly in Love" (1981)Innamorato pazzo(original title), "Ace" (1981)Asso(original title), the first two also with the beautiful Ornella Muti, who here "plays" herself. So, the three great comedians, Enrico Montesano, Nino Manfredi, Paolo Villaggio, are very good, very funny, in many other films, not here. They try hard but fail to be funny. More funny are Renato Pozzetto and Lino Banfi. The beautiful Laura Antonelli here is no longer the beauty of yesterday, and her role is really ridiculous. Ornella Muti, Heather Parisi, Michele Placido, are just present, in small and insignificant roles. The film is not great fun to watch, it's only for those who know and love the actors in it.
