The Story of Wales (2012– )
10/10
One of the best documentaries I've ever seen

Recently I watched "The Story of Wales". There was so much I learned from that series; I didn't want it to end. I have to admit I knew very little of Welsh history. It was one of the most well put together documentaries I've ever seen. The camera work was amazing - very smooth, creative, and detailed. The editing was thoughtful and seamless. The people interviewed were genuine and passionate. The presenter was engaging, charming, and invested. I especially appreciate the parts when he led a flock of sheep, shoveled coal into the train furnace, and was rowing a boat. It came through how much this meant to him, how much he wanted to share this history with the world. The storyline was natural and transition between subjects was consistently organic. Altogether this was a superb series, achieving a perfect balance of art, education, and entertainment.
