I am absolutely stunned by this episode. Not just because of the incessant thrill of it but because of how revolutionary it is as well. It is a journey (and a lesson!) throughout the human mind, and the human soul.
This guys are going through an absolute horrifying situation that pushes them to their limits while bringing up their deepest selves, the stuff that they're made of. Panic attacks, inner demons, ghosts, are served here in the simplest but the purest form but in higher doses than the human brain can endure... This is a huge test for Clay and his heroic nature because he is going to be pulled from two opposite corners, both masterly represented in the human shape of his two most dreaded ghosts: the fear of his friends' vs the fear of his own execution.
The director of this episode, Brenda Strong must be a truly brave and intelligent lady... Wow. Thank you for raising the quality of this show by making this masterpiece. You succeeded at keeping us on the edge of our seats while enlightening us at the same time. Bravo!!!
