Really really good
17 July 2020
This was surprisingly really good, and honestly more compelling than the actual Gone With the Wind. It's an insane making-of story, and the presentation kept me engaged for most of the two hours. Plummer's narration is very good, and the fact that there were still a few people who'd worked on the movie who were alive in 1988 to be interviewed helped. The racial stuff would have been explored more had this documentary been made today, but they do address it a little here at least. I've been fascinated with Gone With the Wind recently, but not really in the mood to rewatch it due to the length, boring second half, and the racist parts, so this was a really good alternative.
