This was a Romeo and Juliet type of Turkish soap opera so I wasn't surprised at the sad ending. In fact it was one of the few things I was able to anticipate coming. I watch a lot of US and Foreign films and shows and by far this was one of my favorite shows. I watched it in Spanish which just finishing airing so the ending is fresh in my mind. I was sad at the ending and I was hoping Emir would say one of the rare beautiful monologues to Nihan he usually reserves for when he dreams. I understood his obsession with her when he explained how he imprinted on her as a child. He was a complex villain and the real actor Kaan can look me up if he's ever in the US. When the actress that plays Nihan cries she does so convincingly that she made me cry with her. She is an amazing actress. Kemal was better first season and first half of second season although in the end he made up for some more lackluster moments (like seriously you didn't think the detective was in love with you?) The supporting cast is awesome even the baby Denise was a star! This was the first Turkish soap opera but it won't be the last one I watch.
