Review of The Get Down

I love this series and was upset to learn that it was cancelled. It's stunning, a visual delight to watch with a great script that's lovely to engage with. What's even better is how real footage and lifetime events are woven into the script. Generally speaking, I'm a huge fan of Baz Luhrmann so I'm already aware of the style of his work and this did not disappoint. If you do not like Baz Luhrmann films then you may have trouble connecting with this. I loved every minute of it and so did those around me. It's art in many forms, it's brilliant.
