I was worried 'The Barge People' was going to be a waste of my time, but it turned out to be a fun throwback to old-school horror. There are some flaws with the writing and the cheesy make-up effects, but I chose not to be too critical about it, because the movie was exactly what I was in the mood for. It reminded me of '80s horror, although you can tell it was heavily influenced by 'The Hills Have Eyes' and 'Wrong Turn'. Hopefully, it finds a fanbase, because I would like to see more of these amphibian/inbred looking creatures.
