The show was okay until, once again the writers had to end it with a shootout and fiery car crash. The problem is the fact that the killing in the office was self defense, and the signed confession could have been destroyed so there was no reason to flee and die in a shootout. This is an ongoing problem with this series, the ridiculous bloody shootouts that are nothing but gratuitous violence put there to sate the blood thirsty audiences of the fifties and sixties.
Up to that point it was a good episode.
