An Englishman in Bangkok

Warning: Spoilers
Well, well, well this film is trying too hard to get an an English actor to do their best Ray Winstone's impression as a British Cockney Gangstar. Byron (Byron Gibson) has this unenviable task with ongoing expositions throughout this film. However, as many know you cannot out Ray Winstone as the British gangster as he was one of the originators of this. Bryon does look like a younger version of Ray but he has big shoes to fill and he is does not quite achieve this.

As a British Gangstar film it ticks off all the right boxes. The film is full of bad characters and nobody in this world are good and all have their own agendas. People will kill to remain "top dogs" but with the harsh message that you will eventually be replaced. This is a gritty enough film that does what it needs to, to convey this but it doesn't bring anything new to this genre except the new location, Bangkok & a lady boy character.

The acting and action scenes are decent enough and the characters are distinctive enough to allow you enjoy it as it is.
