The actors were very natural, and their interactions were authentic Thougt they were on moxy, not lsd.I've seen far worse portails of tripping in far better movies..
Not scary in the least. Leave that to The Shining, The Haunting of Hell House etc.
But if you have nothing better to do, it is a pleasant and gentle time spent.
