Each episode is a delight - completely gripping series
26 September 2020
From the first scene to the last this riveting series is quirky funny emotionally involving and unique. Choi Ji Woo plays an unsmiling housekeeper with a mysterious past. She starts working for a family suffering from the suicide of the mother. The dialog is often surprisingly hilarious as each unpredictable episode unfolds. The way she impacts the children and the father and his mistress is often shocking yet meaningful and insightful about human nature and infidelity. Supplying very moving emotional connection in the show, the child actors carry the show and include some now famous players like Kim So Hyun as the eldest daughter, Nam Da Reum as the younger brother and Seo Kang Joon as a boyfriend. The main themes are dealing with loss and the meaning of parenthood, infidelity and guilt, Also a quite suspenseful plot about a man from her past provides quite a lot of drama. The last 2 episodes slowed down just a bit, but generally this gripping series made me watch every scene with and relish.
