Warning: Spoilers
Just watched this on Amazon Prime and it pretty much rocked. I will warn people that this movie is mostly a behind the scenes filmed movie. The character in it named Charlie is shown in different parts, but he is mostly the one behind the camera and doing the interviews. The plot is about a tough chick played by Brittany Curran who is the lead singer of an upcoming rock band. They are urged to film a music video, so she is talked into filming at her family farm that she left years before. As soon as they get there, her behavior becomes erratic and the rest of the band knows that she suffered some childhood trauma. Then towards the end, her band mate and best friend Kirsten Prout shares some unsettling news of her brother who brutally murdered her father there when she was just a little girl. This shift in the storyline coincides with a masked killer who shows up and begins to hack people to death with a medieval axe. There is a twist towards the end that was pretty unexpected, but the ending does indeed fall flat. Overall not a bad movie, I wouldn't really classify this as a slasher flick, only because there is no murders or suspense until literally the last 15 minutes of this movie. The deaths are pretty bloody too, but done real quickly.
