This film has top acting talent and a realistic story. Having grown up in NYC during the 70s, I found the film eerie and how realistic the characters are to real life people I've known in New York City prior to 9/11. The only issue I had was with the opening scene. I found it a bit melodramatic. But then after that first police raid/murder, the movie becomes very real.
