Man, does this episode try hard -- I gotta applaud that; they found a plot unique to the landscape, and reflective of the people ... but then delivered it in trite, simplistic strokes. Maybe it's the uninspiring dialog written for most of the African roles? As always, Jim Coleman is a delight, and the plotting does try to get at the complications of power. I just wish they did it in a way that felt like the writer actually understood it. In any case, an episode with a visually unique location.
