Aside it be a fine Noir picture of Olivia De Havilland on double role, the main concern lays down on the study of human nature thru psychological study of the mind, when a prominent Doctor is killed at your apartment, many witness recognized the woman that was at crime scene, the young girl Terry Collins, Lt. Stevenson (the fine Thomas Mitchell) in charge of the case and upon so blatant circumstances, what is a matter of time to arrest the woman, he has strong evidences to take this case at courthouse, nonetheless he comes across a twins sisters, Terry and Ruth, which denied kill the doctor, which of them is the real killer anyway? He realizes that will be defeated on the court, he asking for his friend and Psychologist Dr. Scott Elliott (Lew Ayres) to aid in this thorny case, after the girls weren't indicted, the cunning Dr. Scott request to Terry and Ruth a mind study about twins upon a fair money to spend a few hours a week on his physician's office, Terry is faltering, already Ruth agrees having in mind the warranted money, in this section the picture has a sharp upgrade, entering on scientific field of the analytical psychology using those intricate acquainted symmetrical inkblots, to shape a pattern in both minds, obviously the picture has many holes, like the twins wearing the same clothes, also if Ruth wasn't the killer, thus stays clear who killed the doctor, however on movie linger in the air the feeling of guilt in both of them, letting puzzle the audience, another high point concerning about the shooting of Olivia in the same takes, what a near perfection, I've just perceived a little mistake in one take only, all remainder are flawless, I'd rather think that the sweet Olivia on dual roles had one of the best performance at her career despite it bwas a low budge presentation !!
