I've watched a lot (and I mean a LOT) of this type of movie, but this is easily the worst. The story line is not believable, the characters are caricatures of themselves, and it all just lacked cohesion and chemistry.
Acting: the main character is awkward, emotionless, and abrasive. The prince is...fine I guess, but he's not going to win any awards for his role here. The supporting actors, especially the main character's mother, are abominable nearly across the board.
Writing: Whoever wrote this could maybe try to practice reading what they wrote out loud before submitting...
Sound: In every scene, the music is overbearing and takes away from everything else that's going on. Dialog isn't drowned out, per se, but it's certainly not being enhanced by the music. How hard is it to hire a sound engineer to balance these things?
