This episode presents two premises which are repeated throughout the series: Spirit possession of the living and the spirit's amnesia about his death. The first concerns a dead baseball player who occupies the body of a pitcher, and wants to live vicariously through him. The pitcher takes on the resentful personality of the spirit. The second treats the fact that the manager was a teammate of the spirit, and the latter blames him for his death.
Making a cameo appearance is former NHL great Jeremy Roenick as an assistant coach. He has no speaking lines, though.
