Venezuelan cinema is getting there
9 January 2021
National films are slowly getting it. This movie is really well made, in terms of technical aspects. It is really well shot, lighting is great, sound etc.

It also has a very unsettling atmosphere all throughout, it was kind of disturbing actually, although there's not much gore in it, the times there is, are really bloody disgusting, they nailed that.

The acting however... This always happens in every venezuelan movie I have seen, it sounds like a play, it was kind of distracting. Characters speak as if they were reciting or narrating, they don't sound as if they were actually speaking to somebody.

Overall, it is worth the watch, specially if you have seen other venezuelan movies, this one stands out.
