First of all I must admit that I did not read the Manga or knew anything about the details of it and had to try and collect my information solely from the film.
Saying that, I was amazed by the details of the graphics and tried to understand the hidden meaning of the film on-the-fly... but... I did not.
I came to the film with great expectations and waited for the right moment where everything will be understood... but... it did not.
I also MUST ADMIT that my review is from a 35-year-old adult, so it's difficult for me to come with a 10-year-old viewer, but at least I don't have a nostalgic-biasy.
I am disappointed from the film by a whole. I think that a movie should give even for a new viewer an understanding of the plot rather than needing to see it a few times for understanding it.
I already understand that there is a large and devoted audience for that movie but THEY need to understand that because the PERSPECTIVE of the viewer is important so that a review of a lower score is also necessary. If the movie would've been enjoying for everyone then it would've got an even higher score.
