This is excellent . If I expected this to be a knee slapping comedy I would be dissatisfied, however as a dark, layered nuanced comedy it excels . The discomfort , the humanity, the gall lol. I am hooked, line and sinker . The season progresses quite beautifully as we learn more about the characters, their pain and plights are palpable . It is quite intelligent for a series and I recommend this to anyone who likes intricate and dark humor about life, family and success.
It's hard to judge episode by episode , collectively however, the first season is 'most impressive' I am on to season 2.
