The mom (Jennifer Jason Leigh) almost makes the whole show unwatchable. Everyone else is great in their roles, even the people you aren't meant to like, except for her. Her facial expressions and the way she speaks makes me want to skip her scenes altogether. But you can't really watch the show without dealing with her. I know she's supposed to be overbearing and a crappy wife, but GOSH its sooo annoying to watch. The show would definitely have a higher rating if the mom was toned down and played by any other Actress available
