Emir Baigazin is a pivotal director for the future of auteur cinema, he deserves more recognition and I hope he gets more acknowledgement in the near future. I saw Ozen during IKSV & Mubi and got caught in the magic and the poetry of his cinema and his astounding aesthetic, characters and symbolism. Ravenyy Angel, if possible, is a more distinguished and raw depiction of this reality: a world where brutality dominates innocence and childhood, in a way that Baigazin rapidly mastered.
