I love GBBO and blast thru the seasons- some even 2x, plus all the holiday specials. So when I saw this I gave it a try. Its OK but its a pale imitation of GBBO for sure. Mary Berry's there, but without Paul she's just no fun. The TWO other guys always agree so what is the point having 3 judges? Just two would work fine.
The hostess is okay but my son said "Hey she could be a double for Tiger King" and now everytime I look at her I think that... can't unsee that. Shebis even more annoying than Matt & Nolan.
The thing that annoys me most is there's way too much love and not enough competition. I suppose GBBO was the same- all hugs and tears when one gets kicked off. I guess I prefer my competition shows to be more cutthroat. UGH Pippa constantly touching and hugging Toby (umm.... doesn't he have a girl at home?), Katie crying hysterically when someone is voted off!? C'mon guys! Pull yourselves together for Pete's sake!
