The End of Innocence
27 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Given that the atmosphere of the Harry Potter films changed and became darker as the plot went on, after the third film it was clear to me that the fourth film should be even darker, and yes, this is a dark film (dark for Harry Potter standards, that this is Fincher's film of course I would say that it is not dark), but nevertheless to my great sadness it is devoid of all this gothicness that was plentiful in the third part of the film. We have these various events, plot twists, flashbacks, Voldemort's resurrection and oh, no, that boring competition. Well, if it wasn't for so many of the plot, I think the movie would have been considerably better, but then again, this movie is second best Harry Potter movie so far and the third best in the entire franchise.
