What the hell did I just watch?! It started out as a not-too-bad sci-fi horror flick, then it somehow morphed into a family-friendly ET-esque ripoff. I'm not even sure what happened at the end: The alien was drinking/draining everyone, but then it read the Sermon on the Mount, developed a conscience, became friends with the humans, then sacrificed itself to save them?! I'm so confused. And that bizarre song at the end--what was that?! I want my time back!
