The Netflix Afterparty (2020–2021)

Pathetic
4 February 2021
Well, I bet David Spade is crying in his dressing room before hosting this and regretting Joe Dirt 2 while crossing his fingers Adam Sandler will start writing decent movies again for him to be part of, rather than have to pretend hosting this pitiful thing is enjoyable. Added on the side are two morons who are just happy to be paid for something as they stupidly smile, claim theyre big fans of the guests and contribute nothing valuable to society.

This show does for celebrity interviews what Bill Murray's Xmas special did for nostalgic 90 year olds craving the good ole days. Filled with fake laughter, forced smiles, and a see right through you/kill me now front, this show has got to be the dumbest and most forced and out of touch with reality show not seen as a Disney produced show aimed at preteens. Even if they cut out the cussing, 12 year olds wouldn't care what these people have to say about the shows or themselves.

A simple run down of how this dribble works.

Open with a god awful sketch a monkey could write better. Introduce yourselves like anyone actually cares. Bring on a couple of nobodies from a show on Netflix and then introduce the actual stars via a zoom call, because you couldn't pay them enough to actually be there. Then have your idiotic sidekicks say "I watched the series. It was great. I'm a big fan. How'd it feel kissing..." Oh, SHUT UP. Are you 12? Who is this aimed at? Who is it's demographic audience? They cuss like it's for adults, and ask stupid things a 10 year old would ask to a bunch of "celebrities" they've been told are "celebrities" but have no clue who these "celebrities" actually are, so they just ask dumb stuff instead. Or, if they know one of them, they ask that celeb about the role they played in something else, showing ignorance that they've never even watched the show they're in now or rudely ignore the other guests to rant on one in particular from previous years about a totally unrelated role.

Its painfull to watch and down right pathetic. This could be the end of Spades career right here if Sandler can't throw him a rope soon enough... tho the way Sandlers going he will probably just fall in with Spade here and they'll both end up hosting this show.
