The historical value behind Hotel Cicel goes way beyond Elisa Lam. It's unfortunate the main focus was built on her story. The most notable hotel manager told us 80 people died in the 10 years she was employed at the hotel. It would of been nice if the directing digged a little deep into her stories. Either way, I've always been fascinated with Elisa. Maybe that's why I didn't really learn anything new by watching this docu-series. They could of easily summarized everything up in one or two episodes. You can YouTube this story and basically get all the information you need. I think Elisa jumped into the water tank all by herself. She had no injuries and no hallucinogenic's in her system. She wasn't properly taking her medication and went crazy. Simple. It was still a good series, I just felt it was way too long and drawn-out. 6 stars.
