This is the first episode without Chin and Kono. Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park came on this show as the two most well-known team members of Five-0 - Park from Battlestar Galactica and Kim from Lost. O'Loughlin and Caan weren't really known for anything until this show. Kim and Park simply wanted the pay that was equal to their white male counterparts. But the powers that be refused and so shattered the successful chemistry of this amazing show. And, as we've seen many times, once you screw with the chemistry of a hit show, there's an explosion in the chemistry lab. People of color are notoriously paid less than their white counterparts in the film industry (and elsewhere) even if they may be the ones people are tuning in or paying to watch. It's ridiculous and unfair. But as I write this, Park and Kim are enjoying great success post Five-0 while the show only lasted 3 more seasons after their departures. I have deep respect for both Park and Kim to be willing to leave when CBS was unwilling to properly and fairly negotiate their salaries.
