All-Round Champion (2020– )
1/10
Huge Disappointment, except Daniel
2 March 2021
Warning: Spoilers
I actually liked the show, until the producers decided to move the bar and nullify the premise of the show. There were some things I didn't agree with during the season (shout outs for just trying and for coaches, giving two sets of medals in one competition, etc.), but overall it was good. Then, at the end, they decided to make one day of track-and-field worth half the points of the entire season. Ridiculous! Why even have the rest of the season, just make it a one day track-and-field event. Oh wait, the entire premise of the show is that the athletes would compete in each other's sports of expertise, yet no one was an expert in track-and-field, but it was worth most of the points - what is wrong with the producers? Then they made it all come down to a group event (tug-of-war war competition) in which 4 people went up against 5, that sounds like a good way to decide the winner. The only thing good was seeing how Daniel, who completely dominated the season (until the producers decided to move the bar and ignore the premise of the show) handled it with such grace. Very impressive for such a young kid. Kudos! Not fair at all. Let's have the kid who dominated all the sports he was suppose to, loose the competition because of one-day of track-and -field (which didn't even go with the premise of the show) because he has problems running a lot because he has Osgood-Schlatter's disease. Two-thumbs down. Part way through season 1, I was looking forward to season 2. Now, not so much. I'd skip the show, unless you really want to be disappointed at the end.
