The original The Corporation was a fantastic documentary with a killer concept. This films starts off by investigating the NEW corporation, by looking at corporate social responsibility and woke corporate advertising. It felt like a perfect place to pick up, as the Corporation tries to "rehabilitate" its image. I remember thinking " I can't wait till we get to talk about big Tech and corporate personalities on on social media etc "
And then. The movie becomes socialist propaganda. I don't say this as a rabid right winger, but the movie barely discusses its subject matter. We don't get an investigation into the "institutions of its time," but a call to action to vote for Socialists. It just doesn't really feel like a sequel and it abandons the most interesting aspect of its narrative a quarter if a way through. Very disappointed.
