Review of Nemesis

Nemesis (I) (2021)
7/10
Unexpected twists abound!
4 April 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Few of the characters in this dark and violent Brit thriller are what they first seem, and what sets out feeling like a routine London gangsterland flick takes some unexpected turns to become something else entirely; I'll just say fans of home invasion films will be in their element! You can never go wrong with Billy Murray and he's on top form, but special word for his family here - curvaceous Jeanine Nerissa Sothcott and debuting Ambra Moore, granddaughter of Roger, who both impress immeasurably - and a delicious man-on-the-edge turn from Nick Moran. It's always good to see Julian Glover too, even though it's in little more than a cameo. You may not come away feeling you've seen anything groundbreaking, but you'll certainly have been entertained. And entertainment is what movies are all about!
