After one great episode (Styx Feet Under), and two lousy ones (once in a Blue Moon and Someone to Witch Over Me) It's another one of those rare episodes, where they managed to make something original and fitting, out of a tired script. The Noir special. Several shows have their own, only Charmed succeeded at making it both entertaining, fun and perfect for the series. The romance novel written by students of the magic school, that can be re-written according to characters stuck in it idea, has Charmed written all over. And obviously, Phoebe was the one who found the idea of writing new pages to save Paige and Brody... It's a nice break from the Avatars subplot and it marks the beginning of the Brody/Paige mini-romance. That overly sensitive gnome made me chuckle, he would fit perfectly into « this » world...
