Why make a supposedly biographical movie about a real person when you intend to make up a completely fictional story about their life?

Jean Harlow if anything was an early mature woman, married very early in life, had numerous affairs with men and was a very well experienced when she arrived in Hollywood. In this movie, they decided to make up an absurd story about a supposedly virginal little girl who arrives in tinseltown only to shockingly discover it is full of wolves. Ridiculous bio,but somewhat entrtaining if one forgets its about a real pesron and watches it like a completely fictional story. Carroll Baker is pretty in it,the photography is pretty nice and it is somewhat interesting as a movie about moviemaking in tinseltown.
