As far as predictable movies go - this is up there. But while you may be able to see where this is going, it doesn't mean you can't have fun watching this. The main characters have a special relationship and bond ... which again is nothing that should surprise you. But is an interesting hurdle/obstacle later on. Life is not always fair - sometimes we may feel entitled to more than we get.
If you like talent shows it probably gives you on an edge on other viewers. Then again I think the Eurovision movie is a funnier way to spend your time. But maybe you like to watch something that is familiar, rather than something that is just plain weird ...
