The story of Halson going from rags to riches to rags doesn't follow the usual Goodfellas or Boogie Nights (influenced by Goodfellas) with a light-show of pop culture and music but takes its time and is pretty fair entertainment, getting the viewer into the plight of a designer who kept needing to grow.
