6/10
Reasonably good cinematography, casting, taut with an unexpected climax

Yes, this may have similarities with the Batla House encounter, but we only risk going overboard by calling it "Islamist propaganda". And by no stretch of imagination after looking at the movie can anyone even relate to the realtime participants.

Yes, some directors still take audiences for granted, that they can just get away claiming "creative license".. But yes, let's give the praise for the efforts, acting, human angle and hope that in future such directors get a strong message due to the overall lower ratings. So the critics would do better to pick on overly biased narratives like sacred games, family man etc.

For me, most scenes were pretty predictable till the very end, including the violent lover with a heart of pure gold. But it's not as bad as some of poor ratings suggest. And this comes from a very pious desh bhakt.
