Many have spoken about the plot holes (they exist) and the weird (and out of place) plots that take a minute of screen time. I will give some of those a pass, as the franchise is being drastically expanded, therefore those may lead to something later.
However, while the movie was well filmed and there were several good performances (Nora Arnezeder was outstanding), the overall arc just falls a bit flat.
There seems to be a central theme, that I won't spoil, but I will say if the franchise does go forward there are opportunities to fix the problems in the film.
