A good effort to show the horrors of the 1920 Polish-Bolshevik war. The story follows three soldiers and their respective stories against the background of a monumental struggle, which saw widespread devastation and sacrifice. An interesting sub-plot shows how the Polish mathematicians broke the Russian cipher codes and were able to gather priceselss intelligence, much like their successors in 1933 who broke the German Nazi Enigma. For all those who want to understand why the 1920 war was a pivotal event, this TV series is woth watching.
