I frankly wasn't exited for TOH S2, since S1 was already very mediocre and repetitive in my opinion.
When this episode came out I watched it and thought it was horrible, so I will talk about every major non-nitpick thing I hated or liked in this episode in order.
1. The first part before the intro was unnecessary and could of easily been cut out since it had no part in the plot
2. When Luz is recording a video to send to her mom, it's PAINFULLY obviously that it's only here to provide boring exposition to the audience (better than a narrator at least)
3. For some reason Eda is implied to not be wanted as a criminal anymore??? People at the shops aren't afraid of her because she has no powers (plus At some points there are policemen only a few feet away from her) Like, she still ran away from the emperor with a fugitive who also betrayed the emperor.
4. (ACTUAL COMPLIMENT) I actually thought the gang being short on money could of been a really good part of the season and had lots of potential. But even then, it wasn't even that good as it GETS RESOLVED IN THE SAME EPISODE (but I have to give it points for being a good motivation for the characters to hunt the beast and do what they have to do)
5. It eventually follows the cliche of "Eda tells Luz not to do this thing but Luz does it anyways"
6. (COMPLIMENT kinda ) Lilliths side story is the best part of the episode and had SO MUCH POTENTIAL, but it's still kinda mediocre cause it decided to give HOOTY OF ALL CHARACTERS some CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
7. King plays no part in the episode, he doesn't even tell Luz about how the ship is owned by the emperor, Luz was told by Eda.
8. Luz uses a ice boat to catch Eda robbing the ship, but in a later part of the episode the golden guard says the way is boiling hot????????????
9. The golden guard is annoying and should had a much more menacing voice
10. It was said the selkidomus is a peaceful creature, but when Luz simply jumps on the creatures head, it immediately tries to attack and eat her?????????
11. When Luz comes back with the fake selkidomus body, the golden guard doesn't ever take its fake body and just leaves without it?????????
So overall this episode is AWFUL.
