I really enjoyed the series, binged it on Hulu in two days. I thought maybe watching so quickly I might have missed a few things (I did) so I decided to re-watch. Now I have a burning question. So, in episode one the "girl with the balloon" burns her face away and is "the dishwater blonde", later, after Raelle meets Scylla she decides to go visit her new friend. But in Scylla's room is "the dishwater blonde" who quickly burns her face away to become Scylla. Based on the events happening at the time, it genuinely seemed that "the dishwater blonde" was Scylla's true face (which isn't shown again outside of the first episode). Scylla runs into Porter (and their story seemed too real for a girl pretending to be someone else to get away with). The last episode Anacostia mind melds with Scylla and sees "the girl with the balloon" burn her face away to reveal Scylla. If they were going to just abandon the "dishwater blonde" angle why was it even introduced? Seems like lazy writing, "here, let's add this extra layer of mystery...oops, nah, let's not..." In a season that is only 10 episodes long it seems like things could have been better thought out without these plot holes. Or is "the dishwater blonde" going to show up in season 2? Am I supposed to be wondering just who IS the "real" Scylla or am I supposed to forget about the existence of "the dishwater blonde"?
