For The Love Of It...

I WAS A TEENAGE MOVIE MAKER: DON GLUT'S AMATEUR MOVIES is a documentary about a true horror / monster / "JD" movie lover, and the movies he made as a kid.

As an adult, Don Glut recounts his adventures in amateur filmmaking, doing all of his own effects, props, makeup, editing, etc. Young Glut shows great enthusiasm for his craft, turning his basement into a theater in which to show his movies to friends and neighbors.

As he grew up, acquiring some better equipment, Glut honed his skills. Don's abilities certainly evolved and improved over time, resulting in better and better films. Are they masterpieces? Perhaps not, but they are inventive and entertaining.

This is a wonderful example of what can happen when zeal and experimentation combine. Interesting, informative, and fun, this account is a blast!...
