1. The Native American woman actress entire entire identity and dialogue in the film is about being native American. Do they insult Laurence Fishburne and African American viewers by making his character all about being African American? The makers (who are not native American) are ham-fisted "woke" attempting to show bigotry -- yet it is their own bigotry that shows through.
2. the writers have the native American character bring a semi auto handgun into Canada -- which absolutely will get you prison time no matter the reason
3. The brother's problem is not PTSD but clearly a *physical* trauma head injury. You do NOT get that kind of brain damage from PTSD.
4. The idea that the miners are going to go in a few hours to murdering each other is absurd. There many cases (of good and bad outcome) trapped miners and that is not what happens.
5. The villainy does not make any sense, except to wear wokeness on the sleeve. Exactly why would the mining and insurance companies commit mass murder to avoid paying truckers a total of $200k while setting themselves to have to pay families of dead miners probably a million a piece or $25million??? This is set in Canada in 2020s, not Canada of the 1800's or Namibia. A mining accident that kills 25 miners would be subject of a MAJOR investigation.
