I wanted to have a shower after this, have never encountered so many low life grubs in a tv series in my life as surfaced in this re telling of the amazing "got him" tale. Sure turned me off Sweden!
The writers must have had the same thought as they write into the script this exchange which i bet never happened: Cop to cop...and I paraphrase "Makes you wonder what's going on in the rest of Sweden" "Well this is a bad corner, unemployment, social problems, drugs..."
So in other words... NOT ALL SWEDES viewers 😀
But yeah they really crawled out of the woodwork here, reminding us just how utterly disgusting human beings can be.
This is well done, authentic and well constructed with none of your carefully drawn palettes, it's an ugly looking production just like life, no slick OTT hard bitten forensic scenes, no sexy self aware phoney cop performances, no gratuitous "on the slab" conversations between hot carefully made up female actors lol. You know the drill.
Shame of it was the perp was so out of it he likely didnt suffer much consequences emotionally and topped himself anyway...but he did all his suffering early in life as a defenceless little boy bashed and abused by his carers.
What goes around comes around.. .and there's plenty of instances of that to ponder in this grotesquely horrific crime investigation, (which brings to light work on a number of other similar killings) perpetrated upon a poor innocent child, just as the killer himself once had been.
Life? What is it hey? Who can make sense of it.
